Quiet Zone Starts in San Clemente North Beach Crossing
For the first time since 2006 trains passing San Clemente North Beach and Capistrano Shores crossings do not sound horns routinely thanks to $2.8 million in safety upgrades by OCTA and the city. The clocked quiet zone limits horn use unless danger is detected while officials plan further noise reductions and potential further quiet zones.
