Daring Fontana contractor starts business in 1948
In San Clemente and Fontana, Leonard Bonanno recalls moving in 1948 to set up a plumbing shop in a 16 by 12 foot space for 12 dollars a month. He sold fixtures from Los Angeles daily, built client base by walking job sites, and later teamed with Ray Jones to run a store, do electrical work, and open a plumbing supply store.
