Mayor's Cup Putting Tournament raises funds for museum
The San Clemente Historical Society hosted the second annual Mayor's Cup Putting Tournament at Talega Golf Club drawing 60 golfers with $60 entries. Mike Dunbar won the championship, Tim Metcalf and Jon Holmberg tied for second after a sudden-death playoff. Luminaries included current mayor Jim Dahl and former mayor Lois Berg, a stroke survivor celebrated at the event.

Disturbing Beach Incident Report From Avenida Pico
A man aged 45 to 50 wearing a white tank top and black cap sat at the beach by a snack bar and swings, with his left arm under his shirt while masturbating in view of children. A caller flagged a deputy at 11 06 a.m. Nearby, a couple argued near Miramar Street and a woman screamed loudly from behind a residence on Avenida Serra 100 block at 2 21 p.m. Reports of dumping cabinets and trash on the slope at Calle Campana and Camino De Los Mares continue. At 4 48 p.m. a man around 35 went door to door selling watches without identifying himself at Calle Canasta 600 block.
