The Board of Managers of the State Lunatic Asylum in Austin decided that only ticket holders signed by the Superintendent may attend Friday night dances for patients. A limited number of tickets will be issued, obtainable at the asylum superintendent's office during the week to ensure comfortable seating due to attendance and limited accommodations.

The Railroad Commission authorized the Attorney General to file two suits against the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway for extortionate rates on corn from Texarkana to Goldwaite.
