Golfers battle bull on Lamar course injures man
On a Friday evening at the Lamar golf course a Holstein bull escaped a pasture and charged players. John Gray was knocked down and badly skinned, suffering back and hip injuries while the group used golf clubs and a pitchfork to chase the animal back into a pasture. The incident prompted shots from Otis Tipton and others to deter the bull, with Gray left badly crippled but alive.
