County Redistricting Plan Sets New Precinct Boundaries
County Commissioners approve Population based realignment in a 3 to 2 vote, redefining Precincts 1 through 4. The plan shifts areas including Camelot Windcrest Universal City and Kirby, gains from Precinct 2, and moves lines along 281 South and major roads. Commissioner Vaughan challenges data as outdated calling it gerrymandering while Stolhandske opposed plan 1. Reeves calls the action best available amid a pending lawsuit over the one person one vote rule.
