Original Plans Adopted for Miniature War Savings Bank
War Stamp Board and city officials approve a miniature bank to be placed at A Jaro Plaza near the federal building after a permanent structure was deemed unaffordable. City to cover half the cost of a permanent building if pursued, but plan shifts back to the smaller bank due to lack of donor materials. City commission also moves to draft gas station bond and maintenance ordinances and authorizes large loan drafts and payroll/expense payments.
