Former Speaker Cannon and Reps McKinley and Weeks may testify on protected interests funding prior tariff sessions of 1909.

A Bexar county Wilson and Marshall Democratic club was formed to raise at least 3000 dollars for the Democratic National Committee. Marshall Hicks chairs and George D. Austin Sept. 25. The attorney general's department rules that the state railroad does not come under the anti pass law. Its officers cannot legally exchange free transportation with other roads. A chartered corporation is required for anti pass status, which the state railroad lacks. The railroad may regulate rates and share in rate divisions but remains non chartered.
