City Council Approves Paving Bids And Street Widening

Bids for fourteen damaged street sections were opened and sent to the city engineer for tabulation. Mayor Black and commissioners Tabert Wright and Riedyn voted with him on the proceedings. Work will start with day and night shifts and all streets are expected to be restored within 30 days. Settlements with tenants on Tinyoya Street clear obstacles to widening that block between Crockett and Commerce Streets. Appropriations include 444.70 for feeding provisions and 4600 for weekly payroll.
