City Council Denies Cable TV Franchise Changes
City Council voted unanimously to deny General Electric Cablevision’s proposed amendments to its San Antonio franchise. GE must seek FCC compliance within 30 days or face possible default, opening bids to other bidders. A local bid from San Antonio Cable Communications with CPI was presented, proposing a $25 million project to begin within 90 days if approved.
