Enlistment Totals Rise in Eight Corps Area for August
In the Eight Corps area for August more than 2000 men joined regular army units. Col James W M Churchill reports 2063 enlistments received with final tallies at 2058 after losses. Fort Bliss and Fort Logan posted strong results. Dallas led original enlistments with 318. overall area strength reached about 23,000 of 28,000 authorized.
