Radio commission sets clear 8 channel plan for high power stations
Washington Sept 1 The Feiceafixdia commission announced an order to provide eight clear frequency channels for each of five zones in the United States for high power stations of 1000 watts or more and twenty four for 500 to 1000 watt entities and thirty for the rest under a plan to relieve air congestion and improve tuning. The rule aims to separate adjacent channels by ten kilocycles to prevent cross talk and to facilitate future refinements. Some opposition arose from a commissioner who argued the plan curtails power for many stations, but the order stands pending court review.
