Canopus Tourist Club Opens Milam Building Season
The Canopus tourist club in the Milam building plans a large winter season with open house at 4 pm Tuesday and a grand ball at 9 pm. 400 members last year, projections up to 600. Travel bureau to list trips to nearby points and into Mexico. Open house invites Ben Antonians and representatives from City Federation of Women’s Clubs, chamber of commerce, Mexican chamber of commerce, and Genopis club.

Dr O Perry Patterson University of Texas professor of government will lecture on American Democracy Can It Survive as Temple league opens its 1992 33 program at Temple Beth El community center in Temple.
