Northern Idaho mining and temperance notes in a chaotic column
A fragmented late 19th or early 20th century clipping mixes mining life in northern Idaho with commentary on underground workers and safety, temperance satire, and brief society notes from Taylor Texas, Seattle, and Rocky MountainMining regions. It references coal miners, a bizarre ultraviolet ray claim, and a mix of local and national personalities, including F Scott McBride and J Pearson Doakes. The piece also-jumps to a court case involving Ma Kennedy and Meg Clark, plus assorted humorous verse, recipes, and social scenes.
