Fort Worth, Oct 26. T. Karl Simmons Tulsa man died in a Fort Worth hospital today. He was husband of Mrs. Blanche Simmons a noted Oklahoma horsewoman who was killed in a Tulsa hotel on March 25. Mrs. Ella B. Howard of Fort Worth was acquitted on a manslaughter charge in connection with that death.

In Melbourne Arkansas on October 26 9 Mary Catherine Durant 21 confessed to killing her 43 year old step father Charles Durant in 1942. She allegedly dragged the body to a grave she dug in the backyard and lived in the house for three weeks. Sheriff J A Redman said Mary Catherine accused Durant of abusing her. Her mother Armanda Rose Durant 44 was charged with first degree murder but Mary Catherine absolved her of involvement. A dog unearthed the buried body last April.
