Medina Pair Observe Bolden’s Anniversary
Stirring scenes of early Texas history were relived as members of the oldest Bexar and Medina county families gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leopold Haley in Medina to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. Six children and a number of grandchildren were present. Mr. and Mrs. Haley, married in 187_, began life on a ranch now known as the Tahy settlement during a period when the Medina river country was unsettled by Indians. Mr. Haley, before his marriage, was a lieutenant in the Minute Men organized to protect early settlers from the Redskins. They have watched Medina country transform from a wilderness to a prosperous farming area, with Medina Lake providing abundant water.
