Sudden Air Attack Destruction Of German Transports

British air reconnaissance reports a large column of German transports under attack. Nine aircraft bombed the road from 600 feet, wrecking wagons and stunning personnel. Bombs dropped on ammunition dumps and three German gun batteries were destroyed or damaged. A headlong dive by a British pilot scattered a Fokker formation and sent one plane crashing. German troops nearby hurled stones as the pilot returned fire.
