Conners widow of William I Conners Jr Dulfato a newspaper publisher financier and political leader was offered to turn her million dollar Long Island Mansion into one of the most valuable cancer research institutes. She made the offer to Doctors Waller B Coffey and John Wumeber of San Francisco who have made notable discoveries in cancer research. She also informed them funds would be valued to endow the Lost Hole and its stock.
Stechenville Ohio, Det 23. Two men died and a third injured in a railroad tunnel collapse on a Wheeling and Lake Erie freight train at Adena sixty miles southwest of here. Crews dug for hours to recover bodies. The last body, K. F. Duga, 33, Dilloneale, was removed from the wrecked caboose late this afternoon. A conductor, Lurry Selly, 4, and other crew were harmed as the wreck trapped workers. Vuga and Selly died under tons of dirt. Romando survived.
