Profit Taking Theme of Market Drops on NYSE
New York stock market fell as profit taking after last month's rally dominated the week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 14.90 to 63.74, the S P 50 dropped 1.22 to 110.02, and the NYSE index declined 1.04 amid 3,230 declines and 594 advances across 1,990 issues.

Bekar County MHMR Center Opens East Side Treatment Facility
City officials including Councilman and Rev Claude Black along with County Commissioner Albert Bustamante opened the Bekar County Mental Health and Retardation Center East Side treatment facility during dedication ceremonies. The MHMR program offers methadone maintenance, counseling and medical services. The center at 411 Seriges will serve about 150 more clients, adding to the 50 already in the program, according to Tom Cleaver, unit coordinator.
