Bishop Ainsworth Fights Old Testament Criticism in West Texas Conference
The West Texas Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church South opens with Bishop Ainsworth denouncing critical Old Testament study. He argues faith in Jesus Christ over academic doubt, urging ministers to rely on devotional vision rather than scholarly questions. Resolution discussions include church constitution and appointments for the ensuing session, with leaders named from Austin, San Marcos, and other points.
