Longhorn Held Savior of Texas river widening decision pending
A city decision on widening the river between Nueva and Machines streets rests on engineering input and land takings from both banks. Paul Steffler, the street commissioner, awaits a report from engineer W. Freese as residents protest west bank land use and push for a street along the river to Arsenal grounds. The ultimate plan depends on engineer recommendations and city officials' review.
