A mad dog scare hit San Antonio for about an hour on Monday morning. Otto Reiber was bitten at 519 West Salinas Street near his home after attempting to drive away a large dog. A second dog near Fifth and Elm streets caused panic before being shot by Officer Caperton. The bitten man was treated by Dr. Elmendorf and the head of the dog sent to the Pasteur Institute in Austin for examination. A second escaped dog was shot on Elm Street after it attacked no one.
