Maryland farm houses world s densest bird population
The Grosvenor farm near Washington D C and Bethesda Maryland with 100 acres recorded the world s highest one acre census of nesting birds in 1915 showing fifty nine pairs on the first acre and thirty three on the next. The family attributes success to bird boxes water, sparing English sparrows and removing cats.
