House Vote Restores Provisions for Small Employers
The bill’s backers aimed to remove coverage for 1.6 million employees in small stores and businesses. On a 200 to 195 roll call, administration forces restored this provision. It would affect around 485,000 farm workers in large-scale operations and requires about seven full-time employees per farm.
