Heart Fund Leader Seeks Future Support in San Antonio
Heart Fund leader Philip P. Ardery told about 150 civic leaders in San Antonio that the United Fund should back the Heart Fund’s fight against heart and blood vessel disease. He urged maintaining cordial relations with all groups and preserving the association’s free enterprise approach. The AHA seeks more funds, noting it still funds only a portion of recommended research while expanding revenues from 17.5 million in 1955 to 33.5 million last year.
