Man Arrested for Sinking of the Tennyson
New York May 24 A man arrested at Quigley Publishing offices is suspected in the 1918 sinking of the steamer Tennyson off Brevig. Police say he claims to be Frank de Blafford Craven, differing identity from Capt. Fritz Joubert Duquesne, a famed alleged German spy. He refused to answer questions and demanded a lawyer. Old police recall and fingerprints are inconclusive, but several veterans identify the suspect as Duquesne. Three seamen perished in the Tennyson disaster as authorities link cases to the explosion and mystery cases nearby.
