Minister Will Expose Tactics At Convention
Baptists of Southwest Texas plan a Friday gathering at Baptist Temple in Houston to hear Dr. James B. Leavell reveal tactics of recent church general meetings when fundamentalists were not given a hearing. Dr. Leavell began revival work Tuesday at the invitation of Dr. Albert F. Beddoe. Meetings run nightly in a tent at Hamillond and New Braunfels avenues with a 1500-seat capacity. Beddoe, a former gospel singer, leads the choir. A coordinated drive by city Baptist pastors urges full congregational attendance to address the evolution issue. All Southwest Baptist congregations have been informed of Friday's meeting.
