Runaway airplane causes near-miss at Hancock Airport
North Syracuse pilot Gerald Dumas exited the Piper Commancho to start it from outside after battery trouble. The aircraft moved, struck two parked planes, tearing wings and causing about $40,000 in damage. Passenger Lois Brichard of Montrose Pa was aboard the cockpit.
