Brownsville Texas reports thousands of acres of corn and cotton flooded along the Rio Grande as high water rises. Levees hold in the city but fear of breaches grows, especially on the Mexican side where farmers rely on crops for food. Hidalgo reports an eight inch rise as the river nears bank-full.
