Rev B Stanley Jones, Methodist missionary to India, now in San Antonio, says a religious war could spread if Purkey breaks ties with Great Britain. He notes Iraq's British trained army, the danger if Turkey shifts sides, and that aerial airport at Hoarbaniyah is hard to defend. He cites German interference and the wider impact on Britain and British routes.
