First in History Bexar County Road Bond Election Called
The Bexar County Commissioners Court unanimously called a countywide road bond election for June 4 to approve 21 million in general obligation bonds for road and bridge improvements and right of way purchases. If approved, bonds would mature up to 30 years with estimated 18 cent per 100 valuation interest costs. County Judge Blair Reeves praised the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce for initiating the measure and urged voter education efforts.
