Carranza Takes Oath as Mexico’s Constitutional President
Venusiano Carranza was sworn in as Mexico’s first constitutional leader since Madero's assassination. He took the oath at the Chamber of Deputies after a simple ceremony and a large parade by troops, students, workers, and unions. Fourteen details of the event include 21 guns, a 5 o'clock procession, Obregon at his side, and 5000 carrier pigeons released to spread the news.
