A dated rail timetable shows trains arriving from the north Mexico Laredo Palestine Houston Dallas Kerrville and El Paso with times ranging from early morning to late night. It also lists departures to the north coast and local destinations including Palestine Kerrville Cuero Victoria and Galveston.
Texas Central railway applied to the railroad commission for a revaluation of its entire line for improvements and for permission to issue and register bonds on extensions. No amount is specified but it is understood the road desires about 6,000,000 in additional funds.

The Associated Press reports Albany May 2 that a conservation bill, aligning with Governor Dix's recommendations, proposes bonding New York for 20 million dollars to build storage reservoirs and hydraulic works. It creates a Department and Commissioner of Conservation with a ten‑member staff and an advisory board involving the lieutenant governor and others. both governor approval and board consent are needed for park land purchases, dam plans, and water power privileges limited to fifty years.

Canadian engineers oppose an American dam at Waddington citing reduced canal draft to 12 1 2 feet from 15,000 horsepower development.
Thirty six Chicago Chamber of Commerce members returned from a Texas tour praising Texans as princely hosts. F H Tristam observed warm hospitality and plentiful prosperity in every town. In San Antonio they were royally received and foresees Texas becoming the kings of America in another half century.
Mrs Frank E Thompson of Sabinas Mexico in the city with her ill husband received a telegram noting rebels had not captured towns near Sabinas and that quiet had returned in the coal districts with hopes for universal peace.
