Two Mothers Sentenced for Shoplifting in County Court
Two young mothers faced sentences for shoplifting at County Court No. 1. Helena Aguero alias Angelita Pedroza, 106 Tulipan Street, received 60 days for taking five scarves and a towel worth 9.60 from Sola-Serve, 118 Soledad Street. Gregoria Martinez, 821 Colima Street, was fined 50 and jailed for one hour for stealing a skirt and dress valued at 5.98 from Spector's, 402 West Commerce Street. Detectives Joe Neaves and Joe Lara arrested both on March 4. The Victory club, City Hall park department staff, donated 50 to the Easter seal sale for Crippled Children.
