Beer order sent as prohibition law looms on change
A letter to Anheuser-Busch from Henry P. Schroeder of St. Louis requests five cases of Budweiser beer be kept on file for delivery to his home at 4080 Moffitt Avenue, should the prohibition law be modified or repealed. Schroeder, an education board member and regional distributor, says rising anti-dry sentiment points toward eventual modification or repeal and warns the firm may need to hold the order for years before fulfillment.
