Five men died at 5 a.m. Tuesday when their twist-engined training plane crashed near the air base north of June Way during a landing attempt. Col. George B. Dany said identities would be withheld until next of kin are notified. Weather was thick. this was Hondo Field’s first crash fatality since November 27, 1943.
