Rangoon March 10 police dispersed a crowd outside the courtroom where J N Sen, mayor of Calcutta, faced sedition charges linked to Gandhi campaign remarks. Over 100 hurt as demonstrators clashed with officers during the disturbance at the trial site.

In Madison on March 19 Circuit Judge A C Hoon Imann issued a permanent injunction restraining the Wisconsin real estate brokers board from denying John Schunk of Milwaukee the right to sell Texas lands in Wisconsin and ordered the board to stop him from selling Texas lands to Wisconsin residents. The decision, termed a moral victory by Frank Kuehl assistant attorney general, leaves Schunk bound by an agreement not to sell Texas lands despite the ruling.
Washington March 18 The late William Howard Taft former President and Chief Justice was quoted today before the house judiciary committee on prohibition saying the Eighteenth amendment result had been glorious though he had despaired of success His views were presented by Horace Taft head of the Taft School for Boys in Connecticut Also testified were J W Terking a Salvation Army colonel and Commander Hangeline Booth via statement.
SAN ANTONIO Tex March 19 Gordon Obie Bristow son of oil operator J B Bristow is held for 3000 pesos by Mexican bandits and left by automobile for Big Spring to board a plane to Varo to negotiate his parent’s release. He expects to reach the border city Inte today.
