Course Planned for Safe Driving at SA Vocational School

San Antonio Vocational and Technical School will launch a safe driving course for lumber yard deliverymen. Announced by GO. E. Affray Injures Knight in Austin. Fractured Skull

George Knight, 27, of 410 Seventh Street, suffered a fractured skull in an affray and was hospitalized at Robert B. Green Memorial Hospital Tuesday. Knight had been fined $16 on March 4 by Justice of the Peace Raymond Gerbarat for affray and was remanded to jail. Plea of Guilty in New York Manslaughter Case

Marie Burckhalter, 43, pleaded guilty to first degree manslaughter in White Plains after admitting she helped her husband Eugene Burckhalter, 41, commit suicide by blocking air vents with a vacuum hose and carbon monoxide. Austin lawmakers consider a bill making it illegal to give false information to a newspaper about a wedding birth or death. Introduced by Representative Arthur Hedlund of Belton. Anyone knowingly making a false report could be fined up to 500 dollars or jailed up to five months or both.
