Homebuilders Set Goals to Build Economy Houses
Antonio homebuilders led by L G Hodges outlined aims to keep federal government out of homebuilding and to erect economy houses for San Antonians. At a joint luncheon with the real estate board, 300 attendees heard forecasts of 50,000 new homes nationally this year and a 1949 housing outlook with a possible 1950 recovery. advice urged selling older homes while San Antonio prices and 10 percent net profits were noted by L E Fite and others.
