In Livermore California a plane crashed near a ranch home at dawn. Two occupants of the plane were killed, while two year old Stephen Leeds slept in a crib and survived when debris tore through the wall. The accident left the parents unharmed.

Actress Virginia Mayo canceled talking on set due to an upper respiratory infection at Warner Bros Studio. The illness caused her to limp through scenes in the film Dames Don’t Talk with a strained voice and no public statement issued.
