A long read on an annual silk sale begins Monday March 3 with a wide, varied stock. The ad lists numerous fabrics including silk Georgette Crepe de Chine chiffon taffeta and satin in dozens of colors and widths, with prices slashed for the March Silk Sale.
A catalog style notice advertises 1000 Silk Remnants in lengths from 1 yard to 644 yards. The collection includes plain and fancy silks such as foulards taftas satins chiffons and georgettes with many widths and weights. Prices are shown about half regular with multiple silk types and widths listed.
Exclusive third floor displays at Joske's feature the Birnie Sport Suit with Belgian blue Baronette satin trim and matching white Fan-Ta-Si outfit. Also shown are Bobbin Hood Sweaters in rose and white, pure worsted knits, and a broad range of infant and women’s wear on floors one and two, with prices from $1.25 to $37.50.
