Public Service Co of Colorado shows huge capital increases
Washington June 29. Commission examiner Roger E. Barnes told the Federal Trade Commission that between 1923 and 1930 the Public Service Company of Colorado issued capital securities rising from 45.2 million to 76.6 million dollars and stock from 15 million to 20 million, with bonds totaling 18.0 million. Barnes noted treasury holdings of 23.12 million in preferred stock and discussed the United Hydro Electric acquisition and earnings uncertainty. Brook lawyer Robert Burns issued a counterstatement claiming over 26 million in write downs over 20 years, disputing Barnes figures.
