Man Jailed At His Request In San Antonio Burglary Case
Short Schumacher, 42, surrendered to Bexar County Deputies Monday night claiming a need for medical treatment. He said the self admitted burglar entered Haw Miome Junior High in January 1948 through a window at 3 a m and stole a floor fan and silverware, later selling the items for 40 dollars in Corpus Christi. Schumacher, described as a three time loser, said his address was anywhere but had been living in San Marcos. He was charged with burglary and jailed in Bounty jail while awaiting further action.
