Brazilian Army Chief Visits Southern California Studios
Monteiro, chief of staff of Brazil’s army, planned a June visit with staff to Hollywood motion picture studios after arriving from El Paso via the Grand Canyon. He stayed overnight in Riverside and is due to meet U S officials during his Southern California stay as a U S air base inspection followed. Also reported is a Public Health Service note that about 15 000 smallpox cases occurred in the United States last week, roughly 22 percent higher than a year ago.
