Maine Senator Gould backs light wines in prohibition debate
In Presque Isle Maine June 28 Senator Arthur R Gould Republican argues for a license for light wines and beer as a reform to improve prohibition, saying God put vines on earth for use while campaigners warn Maine dry forces will turn against his reelection. Prohibition officials maintain wine from grape juice remains illegal and enforcement is not policy to target unfermented beverages without sale plans.
