Eagles Down 68 As Lone Hunter Packs The Sky
In a long season report the Eagle club hunters, led by F. L McMichael and C H Boehme, shot 68 golden eagles preying on lambs in ranching regions near Val Verde county. The 59 member group charges $25 each for spring hunts using a short barreled automatic shotgun, stalking eagles on nests or in air within 30 to 40 feet when not killed at altitude. The club’s aim is protecting sheep and goats, with eagle counts 73, 87, and 98 in prior seasons. The note cites broader Dutch political mentions and unrelated election references.
