Suspects Held in Burglary at Ray Ellison Homes
Two men were held Thursday in connection with a burglary at 8507 Big Creek, Ray Ellison Homes Inc. A security guard said an air conditioner worth 198 dollars was taken. Bonds of 100 were set by Night Magistrate Phil Chavarria for Joe Za-4, 28, and Manin Zavala, 24, of 235 Mohawk. Three other residential burglaries reported netted 5,035 dollars.

Jewish Pioneer Is Topic at Center Lecture
Mrs. Francis Kallison will speak at 8 p.m. Thursday on Early Jewish Pioneers in Texas at the Jewish Community Center. A member of the San Antonio and Texas Historical Societies, she pursues a masters in archaeology at Trinity University and will discuss early Jewish settlers who came to Texas prior to the Civil War. The lecture is free and sponsored by the Jewish Community Center, United Way beneficiary, and the Jewish Social Service Federation.
