In Frederick Oklahoma a tornado hit a nursing home, injuring more than 40 residents and leaving extensive property damage in the Urban Coalition of Metropolitan San Antonio event. Officials reported at least 60 injured, with no confirmed deaths at the time.
A powerful tornado struck Carnegie Oklahoma and nearby areas, destroying Hallmark Villa nursing home Goodyear Farm Store and much of the town. Rescue crews evacuated residents as 43 hospitalizations occurred in Frederick and additional patients in Vernon and Lawton. Over 300 volunteers aided in rescue and cleanup amid nighttime outages.
