New $1000 Mail Registry Limit Effective July 1

The Post Office Department will raise the registry limit to $1000 with effect July 1 per Postmaster Teas. The old limit was $100. Registry fees range from 4 to 31 cents for $1000. Postcards will drop to 2 cents next month and the 2 cent service charge on Parcel Post will be eliminated.
