Weather fronts ease Texas wild storms across state

Protracted storms eased their grip on most of Texas as a cool front shifted southward. Heavy thunderstorm activity and scattered showers persisted across coastal plains and northward, with reports of tornadoes and rainfall totals up to 2.7 inches near Houston and in other areas, but no reported injuries.
